For the culmination of his MA studies at BIMM London, team member Jason Dasent brought together key players from leading music equipment manufacturers, retailers and educators from around the world, for this pioneering conference, a first of its kind.
The 2-hour online event consisted of two lively panel discussions, broken up by a workshop that highlighted a typical music producers’ workflow, using ProTools. The evening was capped off by a virtual performance by Jason and virtuoso pannist Johann Chuckaree, who recorded remotely from Trinidad.
The event was well received and the panelists and 100+ audience members alike were unanimous in their wish for the event to be repeated. Going forward, Digit hopes to continue to facilitate these events, to keep the focus on breaking down barriers to the creativity and employment in the creative industries.
